Hey everyone…been a while. Things have been very busy. The purpose of this post is to point you to the new button I put at the top of the page titled “BLOG”. Because of the work and time it takes to make a post on the main page, I decided to link this site to a blog where I could give updates more often. I’m still going to post the more exciting stuff on the main page though (and there’s some good stuff a’commin’) so watch for that too. Anyway, that’s all I got for now.
cheers,
Justin
Today I ran across some short stories by Jack London. I’ve only read one so far but it was really well written and held my attention very well. It’s about a man and his dog trekking to camp in Alaska’s Yukon territory. The story follows his struggle in the extreme cold. It focuses on adaptation and how much better the dog reacts to the stresses of the cold than the man does…a very good read. You’ll find the full story here.
As a fun addition I remembered another short story by a fellow named F Scott Fitzgerald. The story’s title is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. This story is very different, but equally good. I came across it after having recently watched the major motion picture by the same name. The movie by the way is very well done and I would recommend it to anyone interested in a good film. Anyway, you can read the short story for that one here.
I’m going to the university library tomorrow to pick up a Jack London book…I hear he writes some really good stuff. Judging from this short story I have high hopes for them.
Hope you enjoy the stories as much as I did…
Justin
